Eruption of Sakurajima volcano, Japan 2016.
I love active volcanoes, love extraterrestrial looking landscapes, love special pics, love LOTR, love nature and love the art of nature.
I have combined all these ingredients to this small series. Pictures of an unique place, which one would rather assume on our hellish sister planet Venus.
However, I photographed the pictures quite banally on our earth. At the Fagradalsfjall volcano, the nightly flowing lava illuminates the escaping gas and dips the entire landscape in an extraterrestrial orange.
